It was on Wednesday, February 26th at 9 PM, at Avenida Café-Concerto, that the older adults and the younger ones sat down to have a discussion, a conversation, a casual chat, a debate… in short, a forum.

Forum for sharing good practices for sustainability, to be precise. An informal discussion-style conversation where everyone’s participation is not only appreciated, but encouraged. Everyone has something to share on this topic, even if it is a doubt or question.

We had 3 speakers representing three different environmental organizations, whose goal is common - to promote sustainability.

Cristiana Ribeiro, member of the Climate Reality Europe Team Portugal activist group; Gonçalo Abreu, who came to represent Associação BioLiving and Inês Gomes, member of  SMART WASTE PORTUGAL. As moderador of the debate, Ângela Fernandes from the Technical Management Services of University of Aveiro, representing “Grupo para a Sustentabilidade”.

After the trench warfare that took place, the numerous fronts of opinion remained firm and straightforward and ready to continue debating, sharing, talking and discussing for longer. However, whether or not conversations are like cherries, they had do cease eventually. The difference is that, in this war, everyone came out victorious, learning one thing or another and reflecting on the different points of view.

The war for a more sustainable world, on the other hand, doesn’t end here. The road is still long, it’s true, but we are getting closer every day!

This action was organized as part of the project “Plantar o Futuro”. “Plantar o Futuro” is organized by Associação Agora Aveiro, in cooperation with the  University of Aveiro and Estarreja’s Municipality. This project is co-financed by the European Union, Instituto Camões, and AMI under the project NOPLANETB AMI, and has the support of Ecomobile - Aluguer de Automóveis.
